Slouchy Military Jacket

The obsession is real. Free People has stolen my heart and they're not giving it back anytime soon. Well maybe they are in exchange for money. I shop at the Boulder boutique on Pearl Street, and the sales associates in that location are absolutely wonderful. Coming from a background of retail, I find that the experience of shopping is just as important as the physical act of shopping.

I originally went into Free People to purchase this Slouchy Military Jacket in the "Army Combo". I ended up falling in love with the "Forest" color instead.

How fitting is it that this jacket is titled "Slouchy Military Jacket" and it's our Military Appreciation Game?! Okay, I'm being a little cheesy, but this seemed like the perfect fit for our Military Appreciation game. Plus I incorporated the camo in my heels selection!

Shift & Shout Dress - Lulu's

This basic white tee "Shift & Shout Dress" is the perfect everyday dress. I wore this dress for my "game night outfit" earlier in the year too, it's perfect to pair with any sort of jacket to jazz it up. Lulu's makes this dress in 8 different colors!! I already own two different colors and will most likely be increasing my options in days to come.

Style tip: I learned this from Victoria Beckham's book "That Extra Half an Inch". When you find a piece of clothing that works for you, buy it in multiple colors if offered!! It can be tricky to find an article of clothing that hits you in the right spot and is made with quality. When you stumble upon such a thing, don't hesitate just buy! Also, if you're a fashionista and you haven't read Victoria Beckham's book, in the words of Adam Rippon...I highly recommend it.

White dresses are always hit and miss with the see-through situation. Rest assured, Lulu's produced very well made materials including a double layer with this dress to ensure no see-through situations will occur! Did I mention this dress is only $48?!

Camo Pumps 

I used to be in love with Baker's Shoes. I'm so sad that they closed their company!! They always had a very similar collection to Aldo which is another favorite of mine. I purchased these Camo pumps years back at the Cherry Creek Mall when they had a store front there. Sadly they've since closed that location and even shut down their online shopping. 

Since these heels are no longer available, I searched out a similar pair from Jessica Simpson that is still available at DSW. Christian Louboutin also makes a to-die-for pair of camo heels available in a few different sizes on Tradesy. I don't know about you, but as much as I'm obsessed with shoes, I struggle to spend $500+ on a pair. Truth, I struggle to spend $100+ on a pair, but that's just me.

Game Night Outfit - Predators v. Avalanche - 3/4/18

Well Bernie (The Avs Mascot) and I finally got around to doing a little dance. FYI, I used to be a Denver Nuggets Dancer and miss performing/dancing very, very much!! Every now and then I like to bust a move just to prove I can still hang.

I pulled a LOT of inspiration for this game day outfit from the one and only Bruno Mars. I feel like the kimono is easily something you'd see him or one of his back up dancers wearing.

Free People Let's Dance Robe

I actually found this robe on instagram when another blogger posted about it. I immediately screen-shotted the photo and jumped on my Like to Know it app. I highly recommend downloading this app if you enjoy scrolling through instagram and often wanting the clothes others post (this is a daily occurrence for me.)

This Let's Dance Robe from Free People is no longer available on their website, however I've searched it out on a few others! You can always plug a title of the clothing item into google search and look at the shopping tab too.

Black Leather Leggings

We've had so many games during this week and I will be the first to admit that I pull inspiration from just about anywhere I possibly can. I was feeling quite uninspired heading into this game when a light bulb popped on in my head. The game before I was running through the Avs hallway from one promotion to another, when I ran past my ridiculously beautiful, stunning, inspiring, and all around girl boss, lovely friend Lauren Gardner. She was rocking some cute black leather pants during the previous game, and I thought "what a genius idea!" I dug through my closet until I landed on my own pair of black leather pants (previously featured on another game night outfit post).

Side note: I have to take a moment to talk about how incredible Lauren Gardner is. I am so honored to call her one of my dear friends. Lauren is an amazingly strong woman with unbelievable determination. She is incredibly talented and most of all genuine. Many of you know I've done this emceeing job for the Avalanche for many years. What you may not know is that I actually followed in Lauren's footsteps, as she was the previous emcee for the Avs. Okay okay, you get that I have a serious girl crush on her, but I hope that everyone finds friends in their lives that are as wonderful as she is! 

Black Lace Top

I am a sucker for black lace tops, admittedly I have a few of them in my wardrobe. This one is from H&M and they have 4 or 5 different versions of this style! I love this one in particular, because it has a light silky feel to it. Did I mention that these go with EVERYTHING?!

Beatrice L.A.M.B. Heels

These have been featured on the blog before, and they're still one of my favorite pairs of heels. I found these L.A.M.B heels on the clearance rack at T.J. Maxx! It's like hitting the jackpot when you find something like these, let alone on the clearance rack!

Since they are from a few seasons ago, they're hard to find available now but I did find a size 8.5 on  Tradesy.

Game Night Outfit - Wild v. Avalanche - 3/2/18

Seriously...what's a Wild??

I severely dislike the Wild, I think it just comes with the territory of being a big Avalanche fan. Going into this game, I'm always a little hesitant with how the night will go. Spoiler alert, we won 7-1!!!

Since this game night is always hit and miss for an emotional Avs fan (like myself), I didn't want to get too crazy with my outfit. There's nothing better than a LBD.

H&M LBD

This dress has been around the block and back in my wardrobe. A little black dress goes a long way in a girls closet. I perused the H&M website and they don't quite have anything like this in stock right now. However, I always recommend keeping an eye out on their site and in store for their little black dress collection!

Chinese Laundry

Everyone knows I love a good pair of heels. Chinese Laundry is truly one of the best brands! I'm also a huge fan of Kristin Cavallari, which may seem completely unrelated but she has an incredible line within Chinese Laundry and well....I'm obsessed. I purchased these heels years ago from their website and they've stood the test of time.

I'm a huge bargain shopper and a good pair of heels don't always come cheap. I think it's really important to invest properly in your heel collection. I love fun pairs (like these), but I don't advise spending your monthly paycheck on them. Sprinkle them in here and there when you find a good deal. (Check out the deals section below!)

Game Night Outfit - Flames v. Avalanche - 2/28/18

Game 2 out of 4 this week in the books! This whole home stand has been huge as the Avs begin to make the playoff push. 

I quickly realized I should have saved this outfit for our Military Appreciation game next Saturday...oh well, guess I'll have to go buy another outfit for Saturday.

Olive Bodycon Dress

Game Night Outfit - Canucks v. Avalanche - 2/26/18

After what feels like an eternity, it's time for an Avalanche home stand and boy do we have one going on right now!

I don't know how many of you are Avalanche fans and how many are interested in the fashion side of my blog post. For those who are not big hockey fans, let me tell you this next week of home games are HUGE for our potential playoff position!! Also, if you're not a big hockey person...come to a game, we won't disappoint I promise!

Knowing full well that this week was going to be madness, I picked an outfit I had recently put together for a photo shoot with Jenna Sparks. It was classy yet had a cute side too! 

Marled Knit Longline Blazer

I love a good blazer. I found this one at none other than my favorite Forever 21! Truth be told, I have too many blazers and hardly wear them. 

Black Mini Skirt

The key to this outfit was the basics. If you don't have a little black mini skirt in your wardrobe, go out and invest in one! It's an easy go to for any outfit to build off of.

You truly can't go wrong with a black skirt, much like a little black dress.  

White Z Supply TankZ. Supply is my go to for a basic tee, tank, long sleeve, hoodie, the list goes on. This tank is a basic white tank from Z. Supply. You can find this brand at so many places including Inspyre Boutique, Lulus, Z Supply's Website

This is the only part of the outfit I changed up from my photo shoot with Jenna Sparks. If you've read any of my previous game night outfit posts, chances are you've encountered my love for Qupid shoes. I found these Glee Tangerine heels a few months ago and will take any excuse to wear them!
