Game Night Outfit - 11/25/17 - Flames v. Avalanche

Black Friday & Small Business Saturday lended themselves very well to my wardrobe! I spent most of my Saturday morning shopping at my favorite local spots.

This particular outfit came from Hailee Grace, one of the best boutiques in Denver! I've been a long time fan of theirs since they opened in 2013. They're in the heart of Denver on Larimer Street and have the CUTEST stuff! Not to mention, their space is so beautiful!

One of my all time favorite navy blue lace dresses came from Hailee Grace way back when. I honestly don't think I've ever walked out of there empty-handed. When I saw this black leather skirt, I fell in love! I'm a huge fan of black leather anything (I think this stems from the Friend's episode where Ross wore leather pants!)

I paired my new black leather skirt with a black button up blouse (Say that 5x fast). I've had this one forever, but Hailee Grace has a really pretty black button up similar to this one. You can get yours here!

If for some reason you live in Denver and you haven't been to Hailee Grace, well...welcome out from underneath your rock. Do not pass go, do not collect $100 just go straight to Hailee Grace!! (For the record, I love Monopoly).

Not only do they carry everything you could ever desire in your wardrobe, but you're also supporting two amazing rockstar girls who started this business. Read more about Hailee, Grace & their story here

Shoessss

If you've followed any of my social media, you've probably seen these beauties before. I found these L.A.M.B heels on the clearance rack at T.J. Maxx! It's like hitting the jackpot when you find something like these, let alone on the clearance rack!

Oh hey, remember that one time Gwen Stefani rocked these too??

Side Note Sunnies

Not featured in game, but one of my favorite accessories I wanted to share with everyone were also purchased on Small Business Saturday from Hailee Grace! These Quay sunglasses are so fun! I love that they're affordable and so trendy!

Hailee Grace has a TON of different style options to choose from. I love the blue lenses on these. They were only $59 too!

I haven't encountered a pair of Quay sunnies that I haven't loved.

That wraps up another Game Night Outfit. Can't wait to feature more pieces from Hailee Grace on here!! Lots of Avalanche games coming up, stay tuned for more GNO posts!

Game Night Outfit - Stars v. Avalanche - 11/22/17

It was the night before Turkey Day, fans were loud, all through out Pepsi Center, with a full Avs crowd.

Let's be real, I'm no poet. But, Wednesday's game was a blast! Since almost everyone had Thanksgiving off, the Avs fans were out in full force. The Avalanche responded kindly with a 3-0 win over the Dallas Stars.

With Thanksgiving the next day, I reflected on a few things that I'm thankful for.
  1. That the Avs won
  2. That the flying puck on Wednesday's game only hit my feet rather than my head
  3. That I didn't fall on the ice in my heels
  4. That Free People created such a cute LBD
Okay, I'm thankful for A LOT more than what I listed above, but these were just a few from Wednesday night.

Free People

I found this Free People dress on Lulu's. It's on SALE now too! See the "Deals" below to grab your discount code!!

I love that this dress has the lace accent and high neck. This allows for a pretty, yet conservative look!  Plus, it has ruffles, who doesn't like ruffles?? (I'm even a fan of the chips).

Sometimes Free People clothing is a little boho chic for me, but this dress was right up my alley.

Not Comfy, But Cute

These Shoe Republic LA pumps are one of my favorite pairs. Unfortunately they're not the most comfortable so they don't get a lot of love.

Even though they're not the most comfortable, it's totally worth it for how cute they are! I love heels that are unique and pop! I purchased this pair from Lulus, they always have some fun pumps to choose from!

JEWELS

One of the main reasons I love LBD's is the ability to jazz up your accessories. The shoes were the first step. Then I went with a Michael Kors all black chain link watch.

Since the MK watch has rose gold accents I started searching for a rose gold bracelet to wear with it. I didn't have any rose gold bracelets....but, I did have two rose gold choker necklaces, so I double wrapped them and called it a night!

If you're ever in a pinch for accessories, don't feel the need to go buy something else. You can always adapt necklaces into bracelets by double or triple wrapping them!

DEALS

  • Up to 90% off on Lulu's using code: BESTFRIDAY
  • Get an additional 25% off at Michael Kors through November 27th
  • 50% off ALL sale items at Aldo & 20% off ALL regular priced items through Monday

That's a wrap for Wednesday night's Game Night Outfit. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Stay tuned for more posts & deals!

Whole Paycheck...Worth Every Penny

I'm obsessed with Whole Foods....like really obsessed. And the new Union Station Whole Foods has taken this obsession to a new level.

Service with a Smile

Their staff was so friendly and helpful! Every employee I encountered seemed genuinely happy to be there, which is hard to come by these days, in any type of retail environment.

I found an amazing salad dressing at their salad bar and I was desperate to find this same dressing bottled in the store. After aimlessly walking around, I was approached by a gentleman working behind the "pre-order your holiday turkey" stand. When I explained what I was searching for, he not only pointed me in the right direction, but then walked me over there. When we realized that the dressing I was searching for was not offered in a bottled version, he recommended I take a soup bowl from the salad bar and fill the dressing into that instead.

He asked if I needed assistance. He wasn't working in that "department" yet made the effort and helped me anyway. Once we found that what I was looking for was not available, he offered me an alternative that still allowed me to get what I wanted.

That is service.

Variety

The amount of options this Whole Foods offers is UNBELIEVABLE!!! It doesn't matter who you are, what type of food and/or allergy restrictions you have, or what you're in the mood for. I guarantee you'll find something delicious at this store. They offer everything from a fried chicken mini restaurant to juices on tap! And quite honestly, they offer absolutely everything in between.

Mac & Cheese Bar

They have a Mac & Cheese Bar....enough said.

FREE Parking!

The parking lot was FREE and didn't make me want to pull my hair out. They offer free parking for your first 2 hours. This is shocking for a brand new downtown facility!! Though I could EASILY spend more than 2 hours at a time there, it's pretty incredible to have them offer this and will absolutely keep me coming back to do my grocery shopping, lunching, dinner-ing etc...(ing)

Lunch with a View

They have a massive seating area that is clean and really nice!!

Granted, the store has only been open for a weekend, so it should be clean at this point. For the amount of people seated there it's easily possible for the place to be dirty, even in a weekend. Therefore, the fact that it's still after a nutty opening weekend speaks volumes to me.

The amount of seating available rivals a mall food court. Even on an incredibly busy opening weekend, I was still able to find a beautiful table not crammed next to anyone else.

This table I found just happened to be on the corner of the outdoor seating area on the second floor (yes they have two floors of seating).

Also, did I mention that this super cute outdoor seating area looks over Union Station? This is a view I'd go to a nice restaurant for! Plus, it's awesome for people watching!

A.A.T. (After Amazon Takeover)

Since Amazon has taken over Whole Foods, the prices are noticeably more reasonable. This is important, very important. I work hard for the money I spend and I want to eat healthy. This normally equates to spending ALL of my hard earned money on healthy foods. I'm so much more likely to shop at Whole Foods when I'm not spending my whole paycheck.

This Place is Amaze-Balls

Well if you haven't noticed already, I'm pretty crazy about this place. I went in expecting a headache and another over-priced market with a salad bar. I walked out feeling like I wanted to turn around and go right back in. It was crazy busy in there, which was to be expected, but everyone was really friendly (again, not a common feeling). Overall the value is worth it. At the end of the day a good value is all you can hope for...well that and a Mac & Cheese Bar.
